Benefits of masturbation for women

Woman are encouraged to masturbate more to help prevent cervical and urinary tract infections.

When a woman masturbates, her cervix opens up as part of the arousal process.

Stretching and opening of the cervix allows the cervical mucous to stretch too.

The result is a fluid circulation allowing fluids in the cervical that may be full of bacteria to be flushed out.

In a study published in Taylor and Francis Online, the role of masturbation in marital and sexual satisfaction compared to non masturbators was analysed.

The research involved married women aged between 18 and 30 years-old who were divided into two groups: women who have reported having orgasms through masturbation, and those who have never experienced an orgasm though self-stimulation.

The study found that masturbators had significantly more orgasms, greater sexual desire, higher self-esteem, and greater marital and sexual satisfaction.

The women masturbators also had less time to sexual arousal.
